Summary

The Marketing Operations Manager must have a solid understanding of marketing principles, be proficient with technology, and possess strong analytical and project management skills. This role involves analyzing marketing data, technology, and processes to streamline operations and support data-driven decision-making. Additionally, it focuses on workflow design, project management, and resource allocation. The role requires a balance of strategic and operational understanding requiring a high degree of organization and accuracy.

Essential Functions

  • Proficient software that automates marketing processes, such as email campaigns, social media posting, and lead nurturing workflows. Marketo experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in measuring, analyzing, and reporting on marketing performance to inform strategic decisions.
  • Experienced in working with CRM systems to accurately report customer behaviors and preferences, enabling personalized and targeted marketing efforts. Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Lead the selection, integration, and management of various marketing technologies used by the team.
  • Proficient in managing operational aspects of marketing, including workflow design, project management, and resource allocation. Wrike experience is a plus.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional marketing teams to align operational and business goals.
  • Training and supporting cross-functional members on new tools and technologies.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues, managing data quality, and optimizing workflows.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing operations and/or expertise in marketing automation, marketing analytics, and marketing project and process management.
  • PMP software experience. Wrike experience and/or Scrum Master, Agile Project Management certifications are a plus.
  • Marketing automation software experience. Marketo and/or certifications in this field are a plus.
  • CRM software experience. Salesforce and/or certification in this field are a plus.
  • Digital and social media marketing strategy and analytics.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has will have direct reports and will be responsible in mentoring peers and other departments as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 

Travel

This position requires 15 – 25 % travel where creative support is required
